50% of the proceeds from all paintings sold from this gallery will be forwarded to Shishur Sivay, an orphanage/school for disabled young girls in India. Dr. Michelle Harrison, a childhood friend of mine, has started and is director of this home, living 24/7 with 12 girls, 4 of whom have severe disabilities since February 2007. The mission is "to protect orphaned and abandoned girls by providing a safe environment where they can be nurtured, sheltered, and educated." This home is a visionary model of non-institutional care for orphaned children. Your support is greatly appreciated.

I am a semi-retired RN living in the beautiful Blue Ridge Valley area of Virginia and have enjoyed getting in touch with my creative side late in life.� I started painting during my recovery from breast cancer and have been inspired by the richness of the natural beauty around me in this area.� I especially enjoy painting landscapes and tropical seascapes.  I have no formal art training and enjoy the freedom of independent self learning and creative expression. 

� Being a grandmother of seven, I also enjoy creating art that is appealing to children, or representative of an interest a child may have.� Thus my work can make a special and personal gift.�
